Find file

Pick different files based on the contents of your variables

Find file with path not selected starting in given folder or load given file if no matching file has been found

fileId

Pick different files based on the contents of your variables. This block works in the same way as the Find folder building block, but it stores the ID of the file that has been found in the fileId variable.

Possible use cases

  • Search matching customer documents (e.g. language, customer group,...)

Configuration

Click on the bold text in the title of the building block to open the configuration dialog.

With this building block you can pick different files based on the contents of your variables. This block stores the ID of the file that has been found in the fileId variable.

Let's say you have a variable called name which holds the name of the file you want to track down.

You can then search for the file in the picked folder using subfolder/${name} as file-name. If the variable contains the value test.pdf Ultradox will evaluate the variable so that your file-name becomes subfolder/test.pdf.

If Ultradox can find a file with this name, the file id will be stored in the fileId output variable and can then be used in other building blocks so that you can share, unshare or delete this file.
