Creating cutting edge product documentation with G Suite and Ultradox
January 24th, 2017
Today, we are sharing our solution to create product documentation with G Suite and Ultradox.
We've been using it ourselves successfully for quite a while now. It is fun to collaborate with our users on the documents and to watch the online help getting better with time.
How does it look like?
You are just staring at a page that has been created with G Suite and Ultradox! All pages of our Ultradox Help Center have been created with exactly the same solution that we are offering you for free.
Why should I use it?
Using Google Drive and Ultradox for creating your online documentation is great, because you can edit and publish your documentation from any device. Even on the go!
Using Google Docs to create the content makes collaboration a breeze - not only with your coworkers but also with your customers:
Let them make suggestions right in Google Docs to enhance the documentation.
You can then harvest the changes and publish the new revision so that your documentation will just get better over time!
Feel free to open the document and just start typing if you want to make a suggestion.
At the bottom of this page you will find a link to the source document of this page.
Based on the content of your documents a navigation menu will be added to quickly jump to sections of interest.
The main navigation of your help site reflects the folder structure on Google Drive: Just add a folder on top level to support a new language or add a subfolder to add an item to the navigation menu.
A carefully selected set of layout elements will give your documentation a professional look and feel that has been carefully designed by analyzing dozens of state-of-the-art online help sites.
